But that's so far awaaaaay...

Want noooow.

Anyways whining is over, I guess it's nice that they have an actual DVD release date.

Watching Claymore right now, as well as some Studio Ghibli films.

So I just finished Claymore.

I quite enjoyed the Theresa/Claire arc, and REALLY enjoyed the Pieta battle scenes (really high HSQ.

Hell the music alone makes me want to watch it again.

Cons:

Raki was a whiny little kid for 90% of the show.
The Priscilla/Claire final battle was mostly action stills.
The anime cuts off where the manga does not.

Still 8.5/10 would watch again.

Mezzo DSA and All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku Dash are pretty good.

Grenadier was kinda average, but I only payed 15 bucks for it, so not terrible upset.

Bought Haibane Renmei and Shangri-la on a whim for like 60 bucks at HMV today.

Also, popped in the first disc of Samurai 7 expecting, ya know, swords vs swords. Nope, giant robots.

There actually aren't too many mechs in the series. It's largely just the bandits that use them.

If you want a more traditional take on the story, watch the original Seven Samurai. Also, following that, watch both The Magnificent Seven' and A Pixar's a Bug's Life. Or don't, unless you want to see four different spins on the same story.

I'll probably give Samurai 7 another shot.

I'm really enjoying Haibane Renmei right now. Even though it has no action to speak of, the animation is top notch, the dub is decent, and the characters are well-written.

So, should I watch Noir or Shangri-La next?

Just finished Welcome to the NHK and Highschool of the Dead.

Welcome to the NHK was some of the trippiest stuff I've seen in a long time.

H.O.T.D. was... about 50/50 fanservice/plot. Unfortunately, the manga's not done yet, and it's on hiatus for the time being.

Noir definitely Noir.

You'll never look at a pair of glasses in the same way again.
